Brittany Mahomes is working out for two.
As the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model prepares to welcome her third baby with her husband, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, fans are getting an update on her fitness routine.
Personal trainer Kirsty Rae shared a video of Brittany and Lyndsay Bell, wife of former Chiefs tight end-turned-NFL free agent Blake Bell, working out in a gym. Brittany, who reposted the clip on her Instagram Stories Oct. 2, is seen showcasing her baby bump in a leopard-print crop top and matching leggings as she works out her upper body.
The videos were posted several months after Brittany shared that she had fractured her back due to a pelvic floor injury.
“I obviously worked out my whole life so I had kids and then I’m like, ‘Oh I’ll just keep working out how I’ve always worked out, I’m fine,’" Brittany—who shares daughter Sterling Skye Mahomes, 3, and son Patrick "Bronze" Lavon Mahomes III, 22 months, with Patrick—said on her Whoop podcast Aug. 28. "Well, I hurt my back."
Brittany said she underwent therapy, saw a chiropractor and got X-Rays done. "In the end, a lot of people talk about pelvic floor therapy and strengthening your pelvic floor after you have kids and how important that is," she continued. "So obviously, I started to do more of that because I was injured and that’s kind of what my therapy was."
The 29-year-old also noted she wanted her fans to learn from her own mistakes.
“People out there need to know that it’s important to work on your breathing and your core techniques while you’re working out, versus lifting heavy weights and just going through the motions," Brittany said. "It starts with the inside, especially once you’ve had kids. That’s really big for me nowadays, I’ve learned my lesson."
